Cheap Eats in (or near) DC - Part I

I will search lists of cheap* eats before I visit any city. I basically live for food. Since moving to Maryland I've searched for some delicious and affordable restaurants to try out. Here are a few recommendations:

1 - Parkway Deli & Restaurant - This is my favorite place! They e the most incredible selection for all meals of the day.  Their breakfast quesadilla is to die for as well as their paninis (and their FRIES!!)

2 - PAUL - A chain bakery that you'll recognize if you've ever visited Paris.  DC has a few scattered around town. They're known for their French-style pastries and baguette sandwiches. I recommend stopping here if you're checking out The Smithsonian Portrait Gallery / Smithsonian American Art Museum or the Navy Memorial.

3 - Amsterdam Falafelshop - Some of the most amazing fries I've ever had (their falafels aren't bad either).  If you have an afternoon or evening in Adams Morgan, I recommend stopping here for a meal.

4. The Big Greek Cafe - Oh my goodness! Get the Greek Fries and a Chicken Pita when you go here.  DELICIOUS.  The employees here are also super nice.

These are Greek Fries.

5 - Kin Da - Several different sushi roll choices are under $10 at Kin Da in Takoma Park.  The Spicy Crunchy Shrimp roll is definitely a recommendation.

Also, until writing this, I didn't realize how much I love fries.

*"Cheap" refers to $10 or less for an entrée item

Please note that this is not a sponsored post - these are our own opinions.
